John Frawley

This is the tradition in astrology, alive and well in the Twenty-first century. John's books are a must read for anyone really into the practise of astrology. His magazine, The Astrologer's Apprentice, contains the finest astrological writing, working within the tradition, yet still provocative and breaking new ground, with a welcome sense of humour. You have never read anything quite like John's take. He offers one-on-one tutoring in horary astrology based largely upon William Lilly's wonderful handbook, Christian Astrology. In my own experience, his service and attention are second to none, whilst giving generously from the storehouse of his own considerable knowledge. 'Frawley's prowess as a horary astrologer is awesome,' - The Mountain Astrologer.

Zodiac X-Files:

Download astrology software based on the lost horoscope x-files from ancient Greek, Medieval and Renaissance sources. Resident Astrological thinker and programmer, Curtis Manwaring, presents a lucid and invaluable view of the Hellenistic revival. He also does an admirable job of representing concepts and perspectives from the Project Hindsight translations, especially the intriguing research work of astrological translator and philosopher Robert Schmidt.

Project Hindsight

“The current focus of Project Hindsight is the astrology of the Hellenistic period (300 B.C.E. to about 600 C.E.). This is the astrology that developed in Egypt and the surrounding Mediterranean area after the Alexandrian conquest and through the Roman period. It is the primary source of all later Western astrology” - Robert Schmidt Director & Translator, Project Hindsight.

Archetypal Astrology and Transpersonal Psychotherapy - “As an unparalleled tool of self-awareness, astrology can help us make our time--our experience, our lives--deeply transformative. The expanded view with which astrology empowers us can open doors to a greater appreciation of our own motivations and a greater compassion for the motivations of others. It can also provide the psyche with a framework for realizing its fullest potential while endowing the soul with an understanding of its own evolution.”

Cura

“Astrology sets itself apart from the ensemble of religious, philosophical and ideological discourses by reason of its continuity, its ubiquity, its capacity to endure and regenerate itself despite norms and cultural modes. Going across ages and civilizations, it continually renews its conceptual patterns, taking from its immediate cultural milieu what is necessary for its perpetuation. Despite the spiritual blindness and mental turbulence of the present age, astrology's object remains the same: the structuring relationship of the geo-solar environment to the psyche” - A challenging, intriguing site - not for the faint-hearted.

A Practical Guide to Traditional Astrology

“This is a well-written summary of and introduction to the methods of early astrology that have gained renewed attention due to the recent translation work of Rob Hand, Bob Zoller and Robert Schmidt. While much, though certainly not all, contained here is regular fare for practicing horary astrologers (those of the Lilly school that is), readers who have concentrated only on natal or mundane astrology (the vast majority I suspect) will find Crane's clear explanations are well worth studying. Combine this booklet with Neugenbauer's Greek Horoscopes or even Lilly's Christian Astrology and one's whole view of how to astrologize is likely to radically change overnight. In varying states of health and public acceptance, astrology has been around now for many millennia. Today's psychological trend, while obviously containing much of great value, has departed in many important ways from the initial process with which astrology had its long-ago beginnings. Studying the past does not mean rejection of the present - only a fool would advocate anything of that nature - but knowledge of how matters were originally handled can only add immeasurably to any astrologer's expertise. Joseph Crane's A Practical Guide to Traditional Astrology provides a very readable setting point to this whole exciting area.”

"A Living Memorial to Astrologers Who Have Passed on. This Virtual Museum created by Donna Cunningham is to commemorate Twentieth Century astrologers who have passed on but who left our field a legacy of service and knowledge. In these pages, you will find close to 200 astrologers, both famous ones and those less-recognized who had a great impact on their local communities."

Ancient Astrology and Divination on the Web

"This an organized, annotated set of more than 215 links to reliable information about ancient (primarily Greek and Roman) astrology and divination. It is designed to provide some alternative to web searches that turn up dozens of pages by astrologers, tarot readers, and palmists - most seeking your money and all "believers." Although modern practitioners can occasionally provide useful information, they tend to misrepresent ancient evidence in favor of false continuity and simplicity."
